KIRKLAND, Wash. – Northwest University's Acacia Johnson scored in the 88th minute to left the Eagles to a narrow 2-1 victory over Eastern Oregon this afternoon in CCC play.

NU's Rachel Anne Saleen put a pass through to Johnson on the right side where she did the rest and she put the ball into the left corner of the net from 18 yards out.

Saleen had given NU the early 1-0 lead when she scored in the 29th minute as Johnson crossed to Saleen in the middle, 6 yards out.

The game was scoreless until the 63:50 mark when a corner kick from EOU's Sydney Nelson got bounced around in the goal mouth and Danielle Robinson headed it over NU goalkeeper Patty Hughes's head for the tying score.

Northwest (8-5-1, 4-0-1 CCC) outshot EOU 11-10 as Patty Hughes came up with 6 saves in goal for the Eagles. Kailey Moss topped 3 Northwest shots for Eastern Oregon (7-2-2, 3-3 CCC).

"The ladies came out today and worked very hard," commented Val Seid, NU head coach. "They followed our game plan and it worked for the most part. We have really been working on being relentless and it's really starting to show. We scored in the final 34 seconds in our last game and today we got the game winner with just 1:40 left on the clock. Great effort!"
