LA GRANDE, Ore. –, The Corban University men’s soccer team has been named the “Adidas Team of the Week” for September Sept. 29-Oct. 5, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
The Warriors, led by first-year Head Coach Aaron Lewis, are off to the best start in school history and sit atop the CCC standings. On Saturday Corban upset No. 12 ranked Concordia at home for the first time in 15 attempts. After a scoreless first half the Warriors erupted for three goals to take the contest by a final 3-0 margin.
Corban extended its season-opening unbeaten streak to nine games and also tied the longest streak without a loss in program history going 8-0-1 over a nine-game stretch. Earlier in the week they defeated The College of Idaho 1-0 for the road victory.
CRB (8-0-1, 5-0-1 CCC) will next compete against Northwest Christian On October 12
th in CCC action.
