EUGENE, Ore.  – One day after knocking off Oregon Tech by a 1-0 score, the Northwest Christian University were victimized by the same outcome on Saturday, losing to The College of Idaho in Cascade Collegiate Conference action at Mike Kelly Field.

The Yotes controlled the game, holding an 18-3 shot advantage while holding NCU to just one shot-on-goal, a late second-half attempt by Kenny Kessler.

NCU withstood six shots in the first half as the teams took a 0-0 score into the intermission. Soon after halftime the Coyotes broke through as Joseph Bolin hit a 15-yard strike into the upper right corner of the net off a cross from Nicko Moreno.

Max Torres finished the night with four saves for the Beacons (2-15, 2-11 CCC). Colin Benham-Marin (pictured) registered the shutout victory for the College of Idaho, who improves to 5-12 overall and 5-8 in the CCC, keeping their playoff hopes alive as they head into the final weekend of the regular season.

The Yotes, currently in fifth place, will now look to the Beacons for help as NCU plays host to fourth-place Evergreen (7-7-3, 5-6-2) in the regular season finale next Saturday at 3:00 pm.
