EUGENE, Ore. – The Northwest Christian University athletic department announced on Tuesday a partnership with All Comedy 1450 AM, which will provide live radio broadcasts and internet streaming of all home and away men’s basketball games during the 2013-2014 season.
Beginning with the Beacon’s road game at Multnomah University on November 16, live audio of all men’s games will be available on AM 1450. Fans can also listen to All Comedy 1450 from tunein.com or by downloading the free Tunein Radio app on their smartphones or devices. These audio-only broadcasts will be in conjunction with NCU’s online video stream of all home games, which will continue for both men’s and women’s games.
Danny Havel, the “Voice of the Beacons” for the past four seasons on NCU’s video broadcast stream, will also be providing the play-by-play of all the action on 1450. Havel said, “The strength of NCU has always been the people and the faith they show in their everyday lives. I am honored and humbled to be able to be one of their voices in the community. This radio agreement will allow more people to be exposed to the incredibly positive family that is the heartbeat of Northwest Christian University.”
NCU Athletic Director Corey Anderson said, “We are looking forward to being able to expand our coverage and fan base for NCU Men’s Basketball with this opportunity. Danny has delivered a great product for NCU Basketball the past three seasons for our internet stream. This new relationship gives Danny and our men’s basketball team the ability to create and engage another level of fan-base for us. There are a lot of sports-radio fans out there that will now have the opportunity to tune in and listen weekly to Danny and his play-by-play of Coach Luke Jackson’s Beacon Basketball team this season.”

We are thrilled to bring Beacons Basketball to the radio for the very first time,” said All Comedy 1450 Co-founder Max Williams. “In addition to hiring the legendary Luke Jackson to coach the team, there are some very talented players on this year's squad.
