KIRKLAND, Wash. - The Northwest University Eagles men's soccer team is doing their part to help promote awareness of prostate cancer during the month of November. They are also also hoping to raise funds to donate for research.

During the month of November, or "Movember", fans are being asked to join the NU Men's soccer team in their pursuit to raise awareness of prostate cancer and take donations for research. The Men's team has paired up with an internationally recognized non-profit organization called "North of Lipsky", based in Edmonton, who over the past 3 years has raised thousands of dollars for cancer research.

As part of the campaign for awareness, men across the world, including the NU men's soccer team, will be sporting mustaches for the entire month. "Movember" (as the month-long movement is known) is not limited to the US, but is a worldwide effort extending from the U.S. and all the way to New Zealand.

Tomorrow (Saturday), the NU Men's team will be collecting donations at their game with Corban and the CCC playoff game next Tuesday, Nov. 12. Look for the Movember table. Second, people "like" the "North of Lipsky" Facebook page and help spread the word. Third and most important, men can grow a moustache to raise awareness!

Fans may have seen Matt Lauer and Al Roker of NBC's Today show this week as they have begun growing a beard and mustache in support of prostate cancer awareness.
