PORTLAND, Ore.—Facing the last team that scored a goal against its defense, No. 1-ranked Concordia University shut out Southern Oregon University 2-0 on Saturday in the semifinals of the CCC Championship presented by U.S. Bank.

Concordia, the No. 1 seed in the tournament, earned its 12th straight win by defeating No. 4-seeded SOU and will host Northwest University in the CCC title game Saturday, Nov. 16. Northwest advanced to the championship after surviving a shootout against Corban University on Saturday.

Bobbi Eckler (Vancouver, Wash./Union H.S.) and Ashley Ames (Liberty Lake, Wash./Gonzaga Prep) provided a pair of first-half goals for the Cavs with Eckler launching the eventual game-winner in the 21st minute. Ames added the insurance goal in the 37th minute of play while the CU defense did its part by posting its sixth straight shutout to lower its NAIA-leading goals against average to 0.33 goals per game.

The Cavs shutout streak has now stretched to 616 minutes with SOU'S Julie Zamzow the last player to score against CU a feat accomplished during a 2-1 loss in Ashland on Oct. 17.

Concordia outshot the Raiders 23-to-5 and managed five corner kicks, to three for SOU. Both teams left goal-scoring chances on the field as CU's Annika Hayman (Redmond, Wash./Redmond H.S.) and SOU's Syndey Paulson each hit the crossbar in striking opportunities. Hayman's chance occurred in the waning moments of the first half while Paulson struck the iron midway through the second half.
