Adidas Team of the Week Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore. – Northwest University’s women’s basketball team has been named the “Adidas Team of the Week” for Dec. 9- 15, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced Sunday.
Northwest captured two non-conference wins with victories over Pacific Lutheran University (Wash.) 69-59 and Quest University (B.C.) 92-70. Against PLU the Eagles overcame a two point halftime deficit and outscored the Lutes 42-30 for the final ten-point advantage. Domi Mendezona and Jordan Asher each contributed 12 points to lead NU. Against Quest, Sanda Milovic exploded for 33 points leading the Eagles over the visitors from Canada.
NU (8-4, 1-1 CCC) will resume CCC play on the road December 21-22 as they travel to Northwest Christian and Corban.
