2013 Daktronics Volleyball Scholar Athletes Announced

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Friday that 391 volleyball student-athletes have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Hastings (Neb.) and Concordia (Neb.) lead all institutions with eight individuals on the list.

Twenty-three Cascade Collegiate Conference student athletes received the award. Leading the way was Northwest Christian with 6 followed by College of Idaho (3), Concordia (3), Eastern Oregon (3), Corban (2), Oregon Tech (2), Southern Oregon (2), Northwest (1) and Warner Pacific (1).

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor.
