LAGRANDE, Ore.- The following CCC and NAIA West student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of February 11-17.



Justin White
Baseball- Pitcher
 
Corban’s Justin White has been chosen the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week for Feb 11-17.
 
White, a junior from Pleasant Hill Ore., threw seven scoreless innings against Division III member Puget Sound, earning his second win of the season and dropping his team-leading ERA to 1.50 in 12.0 innings of work this year.

Dylan Rogers
Baseball- Player
 
Oregon Tech’s Dylan Rogers has been chosen the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week for Feb 11-17.
 
Rogers, a junior from Las Vegas, NV., help lead the Owls to a 2-2 record over the weekend with splits against Simpson and Antelope Valley.
 
Rodgers recorded 12 hits in 17 at bats .and is now hitting .435 on the season.

Stephen Harris
Men’s Basketball
 
Warner Pacific’s Stephen Harris has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 11-17.
 
Harris, a senior from Hillsboro, Ore., carried the Knights to the CCC Co-Championship, averaging 21.5 points and 10 rebounds per game in wins over No. 3 EOU and The College of Idaho.
 
Harris was 13 of 15 from the field, including the game winner at the buzzer in the upset win over Eastern Oregon.

Willy Irwin
Men’s Indoor- Field
 
Concordia’s Willy Irwin has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Feb. 11-17.
 
Irwin, a freshman from Clovis, CA., launched the NAIA's No. 1-ranked shot put mark while shattering the school record in the event at the Warner Pacific 50/50 meet. Irwin was measured with a 61-1 1/4 that erased the former school record of 60-7 1/4 which was set by Eric Whalen.
 
The mark gives Irwin the NAIA's top distance by more than three inches.

Ka'imi Scott
Men’s Indoor-Track
 
Warner Pacific’s Ka'imi Scott has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Jan. Feb 11-17.
 
Scott, a junior from Hilo, Hawaii, set two school records while winning both the 60 and 200 meter races at the Warner Pacific 50/50 meet. Scott ran a 6.95 60m and a 21.82 200m which are both “B” standard qualifiers for the National Indoor meet.

Ashley Suter
Softball- Pitcher
 
Concordia’s Ashley Suter has been chosen the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week for Feb 11-17.
 
Suter, a senior from Tigard Ore., picked up two wins and a save in three appearances.
 
Suter tossed complete games against British Columbia and Pacific before recording a strikeout for five of her six outs against Willamette.
 
Entering the game in the fifth inning against Willamette she preserved the 4-3 Concordia victory.

Stephanie Nippert
Softball- Player
 
Corban’s Stephanie Nippert has been chosen the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week for Feb 4-10.
 
Nippert, a senior from Rocklin, CA., was a combined 8-for-15 with seven runs scored, two doubles, five home runs, and a team-high 15 runs batted in four victories at the Northwest Cup Tournament.
 
So far this season, Nippert has belted a team, conference, and NAIA-leading six home runs en route to pushing her career record to 59 to pull within 17 of the NAIA's all-time record.

Karissa Dixon
  Women’s Basketball
 
Oregon Tech’s Karissa Dixon has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 11-17.
 
Dixon, a junior from Medford, Ore., helped lead Oregon Tech to a perfect weekend and the No. 3 seed in the upcoming CCC tournament.
 
The third-year Hustlin’Owl combined for 40 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists, in home wins against Northwest Christian and Corban.

Sharayah Kenady
Women’s Indoor-Field
 
Concordia’s Sharayah Kenady has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for Feb.11-17.
 
Kenady, a senior from Salem ,Ore., improved upon her NAIA auto mark with a season best in the weight throw of 50-7 ¼.  This marks a career best by more than two full feet.
 
The distance moved Kenady, up to No. 7 on the 2013 NAIA performance list in the event.

Jodine Steemers
Women’s Indoor- Track
 
Eastern Oregon’s Jodine Steemers has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Feb 11-17.
 
Steemers, a junior from Sierra Vista, AZ., took first place honors in the 3000 meter race at the University of Idaho Vandal Invite.
 
Her time of 10:14:59 is No. 13 on the NAIA performance list for 2013 and is No. 2 all-time for the school record book.
