GENEVA, Ohio - A third-place finish by the Coyote distance medley relay team helped The College of Idaho to a Top-20 finish at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships inside the SPIRE Institute.

The Yotes scored a school-record 18 team points, finishing in a tie for 13th-place overall - their highest finish ever at Indoor Nationals.

The DMR team of Dominic Bolin (1,200-meters), Evan Hershey (400-meters), and Nick Hampton (800-meters) had The C of I in sixth-place heading into the final leg, but Greg Montgomery made a big push with three laps to go, losing out on a second-place finish by a head - clocking a school-record time of 9:58.10. Cascade Conerence rival Southern Oregon won the race, with Carroll College placing second.

Montgomery became the most decorated Coyote athlete in school history, winning his eighth and ninth All-America honor - earning honors in the DMR and a fourth-place finish in the mile-run (4:13.74). The senior got caught in the middle of an early pack and could not make a move with two laps to go.

Bolin picked up indoor All-America honors in the mile for the second-straight year, placing seventh in the event with a time of 4:15.41.

Hampton joined the All-America party in the 800-meters, using a late kick to place fourth with a time of 1:53.80.
