PORTLAND—
After two rounds at the Concordia Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club Monday, the Concordia men’s golf team stands second overall at its home tournament behind Spokane College.
 
Spokane leads the Cavs by 16 strokes heading into the final day thanks to shooting a tournament-low 292 in the second round. Concordia had led the tournament after the first round, along with North Idaho Community College, but fell behind after Spokane’s hot second round.
 
Spokane finished the day at 596 (304-292), with Concordia second at 612 (300-312), North Idaho third at 614 (300-314) and Northwest Christian fourth at 645 (328-317). After that, the Cavaliers’ ‘B’ team stands fifth overall at 654 (327-327), ahead of Warner Pacific (333-343—676) and the Cavaliers’ ‘C’ team (347-343—690).
 
Individually, Spokane’s Cole Lorenzo leads the tournament at 147 (74-73) after two rounds, one stroke ahead of a trio of golfers, including Concordia’s Jed Dalton and Kolton Kyne, who had identical scores Monday, shooting 1-over par 72 in the first round and 5-over par 76 in the second to finish at 148. North Idaho’s Spencer Skipper also shot 148, but carded the score after a pair of 3-over par 74s.
 
The tournament will conclude with a final round at Heron Lakes Golf Club on Tuesday, April 2.
