The following CCC and NAIA West student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of April 15-21.
 
Men’s Outdoor- Field
 
Concordia’s Adam Riddle has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Riddle, a sophomore from Fox Island, Wash., briefly taook over the NAIA's No. 1 ranking in the hammer throw, surpassing teammate Bo Johnson on the performance list with a career best 195-6 (54.58m) for a fifth-place finish at the Mt. SAC Relays last weekend. Riddle's toss added more than six feet to his previous best.

Men’s Outdoor-Track
 
Southern Oregon’s Jonz Olander has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Olander, a junior from Grants Pass, Ore., hit the NAIA 'A' standard in the 400, winning the race with a time of 47.98 at the Oregon Relays. He then ran anchor on the event-winning 4x400 relay team, which hit the 'B' standard with a time of 3:16.98

Women’s Outdoor-Field

Concordia’s Gabriella Dixson has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Dixson, a senior from Battle Ground, Wash., twice improved her number one NAIA ranking in the shot put, throwing 50-2 3/4 (15.31m) at the Long Beach State Invitational. The addition bettered Dixson's previous season best of 49-7 3/4 and sets the senior apart as the lone NAIA thrower over 50 feet in the discipline. Hastings' (Neb.) Jennifer Maag holds the No. 2 mark in the NAIA with a 48-11 1/2.

Women’s Outdoor- Track
 
College of Idaho’s Hillary Holt has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Holt, a junior from Meridian, Idaho, finished 3rd in a very tactical race at the Oregon Relays - finishing a close third to two athletes that competed at the US National Championships last summer...time was 1 second slower than her NAIA top time (this time the second fastest in the NAIA this year by 9 seconds)

Softball- Pitcher
 
College of Idaho’s Nickayla Skinner has been chosen the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Skinner, a junior from Mountain Home, Idaho, went 4-0 on the week to help Lady Yotes clinch playoff spot.  She recorded her 21st and 22nd 10+ strikeout games, while becoming C of I's all-time strikeout leader, and pitched back-to-back complete games against Concordia on Sunday, ending CU's 14-game CCC win streak

Softball- Player
 
Oregon Tech’s Jess Plummer has been chosen the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Plummer, a senior from Eugene, Ore., hit 3-homeruns on the week and became the single-season Oregon Tech homerun leader hitting her 17th Long ball on Friday breaking the previous school record held by Meagan Webber (2001) and Amanda Doherty (2006) who each had 16. Plummer hit .524 for the week with a slugging percentage of 1.048

Baseball- Pitcher
 
British Columbia’s Sean Callegari has been chosen the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Callegari, a junior from Richmond, B.C., gave up just two hits over seven innings to an Oregon Tech team that averages about 9.5 hits a game. He struck out nine batters and gave up only two walks as he improved to 4-1 on the year. His win at Oregon Tech was the third start in a row where he pitched at least seven innings.

Baseball- Player
 
British Columbia’s Jeremy Kral has been chosen the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Kral, a junior from Prince George, B.C., drove in 10 runs (nearly half of his season total of 22) to lead UBC to three victories at Oregon Tech this weekend. The transfer from Douglas College entered the game with a .260 batting average but his performance this weekend raised it to .292 at the conclusion of the series against Oregon Tech.

Men’s Golf
 
Warner Pacific’s Andrew Johnson has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Golfer of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Johnson, a senior from Brush Prairie, Wash., captured an individual title for the 3rd time in his career, and the first CCC Championship Tourney win in WPC program history. The senior from Brush Prairie will also be the first ever Knight golfer to compete at the NAIA National Championship Tournament.

Women’s Golf
 
Concordia’s Sunny Powers has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Golfer of the Week for April 15-21.
 
Powers, a junior from Medford, Ore. earned medalist honors at the CCC Championships and helped CU to its sixth straight league title. She was named the CCC Golfer of the Year and holds a 78.0 strokes per round average in 26 rounds of play in 2012-13.
