KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –Oregon Tech will serve as host of the 2013 Cascade Collegiate Conference Track & Field Multi-Event Championships, as the decathlon and heptathlon will get underway in Klamath Falls, Ore. April 25th and 26th.
The CCC Multi-Event, held at John F. Moehl Stadium on the campus of Oregon Institute of Technology, will have six schools with 15 athletes, seven women and eight men, competing for individual qualification to the NAIA National Championship.
The remaining portion of the CCC Track & Field Championship will be held May 10-11 in Gresham, Ore. with 10 schools and over 300 athletes competing for individual and team qualification to the 2013 NAIA Track & Field National Championship on May 23-25 in Marion, Ind.
The Multi championship opens on Thursday, April 25th at 10 a.m. with the men’s 100 meter dash and the women’s 100 meter hurdles to follow. Thursday’s remaining events for the decathlon include the long jump, shot put, high jump and 400 meter race. Thursday’s remaining heptathlon events include the high jump, shot put and 200 meter dash.
Friday also begins at 10 a.m. with the 110 meter hurdles in the decathlon, while the women start the final day with the long jump. Remaining events in the decathlon include discus, pole vault, javelin and the 1500 meter race. Heptathlon events on the final day include long jump, javelin and the 800 meter race.
