Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC and NAIA West student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of April 22-28.
Men’s Outdoor- Field
College of Idaho’s Austin Basterrechea has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for April 22-28.
Basterrechea, a junior from Gooding, Idaho, won 7-of-10 events in the decathlon at the CCC Championships, setting a school-record with his point total and logging the second-best score in the NAIA this season. Set a school record with a pole vault of 14-5 1/4 and the second-best high jump in school history (6-8)

Men’s Outdoor-Track
Southern Oregon’s Sullivan Stevens has been chosen the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for April 22-28.
Stevens, a junior from Sparks, Nev., beat the NAIA 'A' qualifying time and the rest of the event field to place first in the 110-meter hurdles. His time of 14.48 was one-hundredth of a second off his personal record in the event set last year. Stevens also won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.56.

Women’s Outdoor-Field
Corban’s Sarah Taylor has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for April 22-28.
Taylor, a freshman from Bend, Ore., won the high jump at the Titan Twilight by clearing the bar at 1.68 meters (5-6) to become the first member of Corban's women's track & field team to ever qualify for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in that event. Taylor also broke her own school record by 0.03 meters in the event.

Women’s Outdoor- Track
College of Idaho’s Jasmine Sibert has been chosen the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for April 22-28.
Sibert, a junior from Boise, Idaho, won all three running events to claim the title in the heptathlon at the CCC Championships...won the 100-hurdles (14.79 - NAIA "A" time), the 200-meters (25.98), and needed a win in the 800-meters (2:23.25) to overcome a deficit to win the championship...also recorded a school record leap of 17-5 1/2 in the long jump, as her heptathlon point total was a school record and the #4 mark in the NAIA.

Softball- Pitcher
Corban’s Amy Greenough has been chosen the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 22-28.
Greenough, a senior from Portland, Ore., had a perfect week picking up two wins allowing just two earned runs on 10 hits in 9.0 innings of work. Greenough also struck out a combined five batters, while pushing her season win total to 13 victories this year.

Softball- Player
Corban’s Erica Fitzgerald has been chosen the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week for April 22-28.
Fitzgerald, a senior from Beaverton, Ore., picked up at least one hit in each of Corban's four games this week, as the fourth-year Warrior drove in eight runs, belted two home runs, and scored a combined three runs.

Baseball- Pitcher
British Columbia’s Sean Callegari has been chosen the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week for April 22-28.
Callegari, a junior from Richmond, B.C., shut down the top hitting team in the entire NAIA when he beat Lewis-Clark State, giving up just four hits over seven innings of work. He didn't give up a run to the No. 4 team in the NAIA in runs scored. The Richmond, B.C. native also struck out six batters. LC State ranks No. 1 in the NAIA in hits and hits per game.

Baseball- Player
Lewis-Clark State’s Bobby Joe Tannehill has been chosen the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week for April 22-28.
Tannehill, a senior from Auburn, Wash., capped an incredible week with two home runs, one from each side of the plate, and five RBI's in the series finale. He also had a four-hit game earlier in the week. In addition, Tannehill made a number of incredible defensive plays and now also holds a .950 fielding percentage, a very impressive number for a starting shortstop.
