Day Two of Red Lion Cascade/Frontier Challenge in the Books
SPOKANE, Wash. – Capped off by a thrilling five-set match between a pair of unbeaten teams, the second day of the Red Lion Cascade/Frontier Challenge is in the book after a full day of action.
After posting a pair of 3-1 wins earlier to stay unbeaten, 21st-ranked Eastern Oregon and unranked Rocky Mountain met up in the final match of the day. Rocky Mountain took the initial 2-0 lead in dominating fashion but EOU battled back to force a fifth and deciding set. The Battlin’ Bears kept battlin’, allowing Rocky to remain undefeated in the tournament with a five-set win over the Mountaineers.
Montana Tech and Montana State-Northern each went 2-0 on the day. Montana Tech defeated Oregon Tech and Corban while MSUN dispatched Corban and Evergreen.
The third and final day begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday at The HUB Sports Center in Liberty Lake, Wash.
