Corban will step onto the field next against Oregon Tech after not playing a regular season counting game in almost three weeks following the cancellation of the Warriors' non-conference game against Trinity Lutheran.
Corban-Trinity Lutheran Game Cancelled, Forfeit Pending NAIA Approval
SALEM, Ore. – For the second time in the past five days, Corban University's men's soccer game against Trinity Lutheran that was scheduled for tomorrow – Wednesday, September 11th – has been cancelled according to an announcement by head coach Aaron Lewis.
Due to the latest cancellation, Trinity Lutheran has forfeited the game to Corban via a 1-0 victory pending official approval from the NAIA National Office. Pending the NAIA's approval, Corban will begin its season perfect after its opening three games for the first time since 1990.
Since the inception of the 14-game Cascade Collegiate Conference schedule in 2009, this season will mark the first time in program history that Corban is unbeaten in non-conference play. Prior to this year, the Warriors set the best winning percentage mark through the non-conference schedule last season thanks to a win-loss record of 1-1-2 (0.500).
Corban, who is currently in the midst of a 20-day break between regular season games, will step onto the field next when the Warriors open Cascade Collegiate Conference play against Oregon Tech on Tuesday, September 17th, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Klamath Falls.
