First Compliance Seminar a Success
LA GRANDE, Ore. - The Cascade Collegiate Conference, in partnership with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Legislative Services, hosted a Compliance Seminar for member school personnel on September 15th in conjunction with the Conference Council of Athletic Director's annual fall meeting.
"We had a great mix of Faculty Athletic Representatives, Compliance Officers and other campus personnel," stated Commissioner Rob Cashell. "We hope to provide this important opportunity every three years in support of our member schools."
Ms. Chesney Allen, NAIA Manager of Legislative Services and Dr. Bryce Bernard, Faculty Athletics Representative from Corban University and the Chair of the CCC-FAR's led the half day seminar.
Topics covered included; NAIA overview and legislative process, role of NAIA committees, review of CCC eligibility processes, role of CCC eligibility committee, casebook study, processing appeals, new rules, Initial Certification through the NAIA Eligibility Center, continuing certification and end of year reporting
