The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period September 9-15.
 
 
Women’s Cross Country
 
Southern Oregon’s Aspen Abbott has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
 
Abbott, a freshman from Gardnerville, Nev., led all Southern Oregon runners in the first race of her collegiate career and helped the Raiders to second place at the Western Oregon meet.

Men’s Cross Country
 
Southern Oregon’s Eric Shelfi has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
 
Ghelfi, a junior from Redding, Calif., earned a career-best second-place finish at the Western Oregon University meet, as he paced the Raiders coast to a team title.

Women’s Soccer- Defensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Danielle Robinson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Robinson, a sophomore from Auburn, Wash., was the key part to the Mountaineers defense that pitched two shutouts this past week. These two shutouts, combined with the one earlier this season, is the most shutouts for EOU since they recorded four in the 2010 season. Robinson has led the defensive force that has only allowed two goals all season. The 4-0 start is the best start for the Mountaineers in school history.

Women’s Soccer- Offensive
 
Warner Pacific’s Trisha Durham has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Durham, a senior from Grants Pass, Ore., scored a pair of goals vs. Trinity Lutheran, leading the Knights to their first win of the season.
 
Honorable mention: McKayla Madison, CU; Tori Fedora, EOU;
 
 
Men’s Soccer-Offensive
 
Evergreen’s Jeff Roland has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Roland, a senior from Tacoma, Wash., scored the game-winner against NCAA DIII Whitworth in a neutral-site contest on Saturday in Salem, Ore.

Men’s Soccer-Defensive
 
Evergreen’s Collin Harlow has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Harlow, a senior from Kirkland, Wash., made eight saves against a talented NCAA DIII Whitworth team to earn his second shutout of the season.

Volleyball- Offensive
 
Concordia’s Lindsay Mangan has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Mangan, a senior from Huntington Beach, Calif., led the No. 23-ranked Cavaliers to a 3-0 record this week with a 3-1 win over NCAA DII St. Martins and sweeps over a pair of CCC foes. Already the CCC’s top setter, Mangan upped her season assist average with 11.3 assists per set for the Cavs, tallying 113 successful assists in 10 sets of action. The average ranks the senior No. 17 in the NAIA. Mangan added three kills, 21 digs (2.1 dps) and six block assists (.60 bps) while leading CU to its best start of a season in over a decade. Her 38-assist performance against Corban on Friday represents the CCC season best for a three-set match.

Volleyball- Defensive
 
College of Idaho’s Kylee Nawahine has been named the Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Nawahine, a senior from Fruitland, Idaho, had a career-high 24 digs against Northwest.  She averaged nearly a block per set while in the front row, averaging four digs per set while in the back row.
