CALDWELL, Idaho - A third-place finish by Kody Shriver helped Eastern Oregon end the four-year reign of host College of Idaho atop the team standings at the 2013 Coyote Twilight at windy Brothers Park.
Shirver, who clocked a time of 26:02 in the less-than-ideal conditions, along with teammate Isaac Updike, who placed sixth (26:37), helped the Mountaineers eek out a 52-54 victory over Northwest Christian.
The Beacons used a tight front pack to place second - as Christopher Zirkle (26:29) placed fifth, Crosby Green (26:41) placed eighth, and Nick Lopez (26:49) took 11th.
Oregon Tech placed third with 68 team points - led by a second-place finish from standout Paul Adams (25:57). Host C of I finished fourth - with Dan Williams (26:52) in 13th and Sean Saxton (26:58) in 14th.
Four-time Coyote All-American, Greg Montgomery, competing unattached, won the race with a time of 25:45.
