SALEM, Ore. - Warner Pacific climbed to .500 in the Cascade Conference standings after a 74-56 win over Corban tonight at C.E. Jeffers Sports Center.

The Knights used a 13-0 run in the early stages of the first half to claim a 21-10 lead set the tone for the game. WP held the Warriors to 27 percent shooting (7 of 26) in the period and led 35-20 after Doug Thomas hit his fourth three pointer just before the break.

Corban (6-9, 2-4 CCC) took advantage of a sluggish start to the second period by the Knights and clawed back to within eight (38-30) after four minutes of play, but WP recovered thanks to back-to-back scores from Garrett Strasburg. Late in the period, Thomas scored inside to give Warner Pacific their largest lead at 68-47 and the Knights cruised from there.

Warner Pacific (9-9, 3-3 CCC) was led offensively by Thomas with 23 points including 17 in the first half, while Marcus Moore chipped in with 12 points off the Knights' bench. Michael Hall pulled down a game-high eight rebounds for Warner Pacific, while Josh Black dished out a game-high six assists for the visiting Knights.
