PORTLAND, Ore.—Jumping out to a 9-0 lead, No. 24-ranked Concordia University defeated Portland Bible College 92–43 on Saturday night in the Cavaliers final non-conference game of the season.

With the win, Concordia improved to 17-4 on the season and will next take the court on Saturday, January 25 as it hosts crosstown rival Warner Pacific College. The Cavs-Knights tilt will be a battle to remain in second place in the Cascade Collegiate Conference as both teams will enter the game with a 6-3 mark in league games.

Midway through the first against Portland Bible, the Cavs marched out to a 19-point lead in the with an Adam Herman (Vancouver, Wash./Prairie H.S.) layup giving the home team a 29-9 advantage.
With Concordia shooting just 37.5 percent in the opening half, the Wildcats managed to stay within 16 points at the break, but the Cavs exploded for 57 points in the second half to continue the rout.

Concordia hit 20 of its 30 (66.6 percent) field goal attempts over the final 20 minutes while also landing 23 of 30 from the free throw line to go on to a 49-point win, one point shy of its largest margin of the season, a 117-67 win against New Hope Christian on Nov. 14.

Shooting 7 of 13 from the field, Raymon Taylor scored 11 of the Wildcats 19 first-half points en route to a game-high 17 Points.

Anthony Holton (Portland, Ore./Sunset H.S.) scored 14 points to lead the Cavaliers, who had four players reach double figures. Adam Herman (Vancouver, Wash./Prairie H.S.) and Marquis Matthews (Spanaway, Wash./Bethel H.S.) finished with 12 points each and Willy Ligon (Corona, Calif./Centennial H.S.) added 10 in the winning effort. Ryan Miller (Vancouver, Wash./Portland Christian H.S.) and Davis Nuami chipped in with nine points each as the Concordia bench piled in 48 points.
