CALDWELL, Idaho – Kylie Porter had a match high 14 kills leading the College of Idaho to a 25-19, 25-19, 28-26 victory over the Evergreen State College inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

The Lady Yotes (11-8, 8-2 CCC) won for the eighth time in nine matches, remaining unbeaten all-time against the Geoducks.

Evergreen (11-12, 2-8) scored the first four points of the match, including back-to-back Jaclyn Trinque aces, but the hosts used a 12-3 surge – including two kills each from Porter and Janessa Koelliker, to take command of the set.

C of I trailed 8-7 in Set 2, but two Koelliker kills and a pair of spikes from Emily Ottinger helped the Yotes rattle off seven straight points to grab the two sets to none lead.

The Geoducks fought hard in Set 3, rallying from a 19-16 deficit behind three Nicole Diehl kills, to earn set point at 24-22.  A pair of Porter kills got the Yotes even, with back-to-back ESC errors ending the match.

Porter had just two hitting errors in 20 swings, with her .600 attack percentage the best of the season for the Yotes.  Emily Ottinger had 12 kills, with Bailee Kendall adding eight kills and Koelliker five.  Setter Sierra Porter had a three-set season-high of 43 assists and five kills, with Kilee Lopez leading C of I with 18 digs.

Nicole Pittelkau led the Geoducks with 12 kills, with Diehl adding 11 kills and two blocks.  Trinque had 35 assists and Natimia Barker-Doss had 18 digs.

C of I returns to action tomorrow night, hosting Northwest at 7 p.m.
