Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period October 6-12.
Jared Hixon
Men’s Cross Country
Southern Oregon’s Jared Hixon has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
Hixon, a junior from Palmdale, Calif., led SOU to the team title at the San Francisco State Invite, where the Raiders had six of the top-seven scorers largely against NCAA Division II competition.
Hixon placed third overall in a field of 172 racers

Jared Lambert
Men’s Golf
Corban’s Jared Lambert has been named the Red Lion Men’s Golf Player of the Week.
Lambert, a senior from Redmond, Ore., captured the Warner Pacific Fall Invite individual title and led the Corban men's golf team to the tournament championship.
Lambert set a new school record with a second round of 66 with a two-day total of 143

Daniel Christenson
Men’s Soccer-Defensive
Northwest’s Daniel Christenson has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Christenson, a freshman from Bothell, Wash., had 180 shutout minutes in victories over Evergreen and Warner Pacific.
The Goalkeeper had 12 overall saves including seven in the second half against WPC.

Arsinio Walker
Men’s Soccer-Offensive
Corban’s Arsinio Walker has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Walker, a senior from Kingston, Jamaica, scored both goals in the 2-0 victory over The College of Idaho. He then went on to dish out assists on three of Corban's first four goals on Saturday, before eventually scoring a goal himself in the 7-1 win over Oregon Tech.
He finished the week with three goals and three assists in two matches.

Sierra Porter
Volleyball- Defensive
The College of Idaho’s Sierra Porter has been named the Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week.
Porter, a junior from Eagle, Idaho, amassed a season-high 43 assists in a 3-set win over Evergreen.
Porter had a dominating performance in a 5-set thriller over Northwest logging a season-high 6 blocks and recording 20 digs from the setter position.

Janessa White
Volleyball- Offensive
Warner Pacific’s Janessa White has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
White, a sophomore from Salem, Ore., pounded out 49 total kills with a .363 hitting percentage. Her efforts helped the Knights to a split in CCC matches and moved her to #3 in the CCC in kills per set.

Cassidy Brown
Women’s Cross Country
Northwest’s Cassidy Brown has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
Brown, a sophomore from Auburn Wash., helped lead NU to the team title at the Wes Cook/George Fox Invitational.
Brown’s time of 18:34 over the 5k course was good for the individual title among 59 runners.

Abby Brennan
Women’s Golf
Concordia’s Abby Brennan has been named the Red Lion Women’s Golf Player of the Week.
Brennan, a sophomore from Eugene, Ore., helped lead Concordia to its 16th straight CCC event win placing 10
th at the Cavalier Classic. Her 25-over 244 and was the second finisher out of the CCC contingent, one stroke behind Corban's Brooke Spencer
Brennan also earned medalist honors, her first career collegiate win, at the Warner Pacific Fall Invitational.

Kelsey Greene
Women’s Soccer- Defensive
Northwest’s Kelsey Greene has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Greene, a junior from Sherwood, Ore., Greene was part of the NU defense which chalked up their 5th and 6th straight shutouts of the season.
In addition to her defensive play, Greene had an assist in the victory over NCU

Acacia Johnson
Women’s Soccer- Offensive
Northwest’s Acacia Johnson has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Johnson, a senior from Puyallup, Wash., scored the game winner in both Eagle wins this week with a hat-trick in the 3-0 win over NCU.
Against Corban, Johnson added her league-leading 12th goal of the season in the 2-0 win.
