Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period October 20-26.
Matthew Clowes
Men’s Cross Country
Concordia’s Matthew Clowes has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
Clowes, a senior from Stroke-on-Trent, Enlgand, won his fourth straight race to start his season. He finished first overall in the 8,000 meter at the Oregon State Beaver Classic with a time of 24:56.

Angel Guerra
Men’s Soccer-Defensive
Angel Guerra of The Evergreen State College has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Guerra, a junior from Wenatchee, Wash., played a majority of the match against Oregon Tech totally 74 minutes in the 4-0 victory over the Owls.

Arsinio Walker
Men’s Soccer-Offensive
Corban’s Arsinio Walker has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Walker, a senior from Kingston, Jamaica, led the Warriors to an exciting come-from-behind 4-3 victory over Warner Pacific on Saturday night, scoring two goals and dishing out one assist in the process.
After scoring to put Corban in front in the third minute, 1-0, he eventually scored again in the 89th minute to tie the contest at 3-3 and send it to overtime. He then registered the assist on the game-winning goal in overtime.

Brookelynn Cole
Volleyball- Defensive
Southern Oregon’s Brookelynn Cole has been named the Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week.
Cole, a senior form Portland, Ore., averaged 6.6 digs per set in two victories at home helping the Raiders hold their opponent’s attacking averages under .200 for the 17
th and 18
th straight matches.

Lindsey Dorsey
Volleyball- Offensive
Concordia’s Lindsey Dorsey has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Dorsey, a freshman from Sprague, Ore., Dorsey led Concordia in kills in both matches this weekend while helping the Cavaliers to its first weekend sweep of College of Idaho and Eastern Oregon in 11 years.
Dorsey, a true freshman, registered 14 kills on Friday against the Yotes and 15 against No. 8-ranked EOU. Combined, Dorsey had 29 kills against just five errors in 64 swings to hit .35 for the weekend.

Summer Cano
Women’s Cross Country
Southern Oregon’s Summer Cano has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the week.
Cano, a senior from Hillsboro, Ore., led all NAIA runners in the 6k at the Oregon State Beaver Classic with a time of 22:23.
She finished 10
th overall out of a field of 99 runners.

Patty Hughes
Women’s Soccer- Defensive
Northwest’s Patty Hughes has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Hughes, a senior from Kalispell, Mont., registered 200 minutes of scoreless soccer in goal for the Eagles with key saves in both games last week to preserve the shutouts.
The CCC champions allowed only two goals in league play and Hughes leads the league in goals allowed averaging (.26 gpg) and save percentage at .929.

Irina Lyons
Women’s Soccer- Offensive
The Evergreen State College’s Irina Lyons has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Lyons, a sophomore from Port Townsend, Wash., scored all three goals, including the winner with less than a minute to go in the second overtime, as Evergreen beat Warner Pacific in its season finale.
Irina's hat trick is the sixth time in Evergreen women's soccer history that a player has scored at least three goals and marks the first time since on Oct. 18, 2006.
