COI captured two CCC wins including a stunning victory over the defending national champions and current No. 1 ranked Concordia Cavaliers. The Yotes also defeated Warner Pacific on Thursday.
 
In a sister act, Sydney Woods headed home a corner kick from Hailey Woods in the 65th minute, lifting the Yotes to the 1-0 win over CU. Goalie Brittany Houghton had a stellar day recording 6 second half saves despite CU having a 24-8 advantage on shots including 10-2 on goal.
 
The win over CU was the first for COI since 2009 and snapped CU’s 29- match streak without a loss (28-0-1).
 
Two early goals against WPC would propel COI to the 3-1 win. Jamiece Yizar and Allie Boyd found the back of the net in the first half. After WPC answered in the second stanza COI would add an insurance goal in the 89^th minute.
 
COI (5-3-2, 2-0-1 CCC) will continue CCC action with road matches at Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon Oct. 9-11.
