LA GRANDE, Ore.- The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period of November 3-9.

Esvan Middleton
Men’s Basketball
 
Concordia’s Esvan Middleton has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Middleton, a senior from Culver City, Calif., Middleton opened the week by flirting with a ‘quadruple double’ against Multnomah as the senior recorded 18 points, 22 rebounds, seven assists and eight steals.
 
 Middleton returned to with a near-perfect shooting night on Friday 5 of 5 from the field and 1 of 2 from the free throw line and finished the weekend with a 15 point and 19 rebound performance on Saturday.

Damion Flores
Men’s Cross Country
 
Eastern Oregon’s Damion Flores has been named the Red Lion Men’s Runner of the Week.
 
Flores, a senior from Myrtle Creek, Ore., Flores ran with the lead pack for the majority of the 8K. At the halfway point of the race passed the leader and he never gave up the lead.
 
He became the Men's Cross Country Champion finishing with a time of 24:18; 19 seconds faster than second place.


Joe White
Men’s Soccer-Defensive
 
Warner Pacific’s Joe White has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
White, a freshman from London, UK, made four saves to preserve shutout over Northwest in final game of the season.
 
Honorable mention: Cody Guthrie, CU


Luiz Valdez
Men’s Soccer-Offensive
 
Oregon Tech’s Luiz Valdez has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Valdez, a sophomore from Klamath Falls, Ore., set up Oregon Tech's first goal with an assist and scored the game winner lifting the Owls to its first official win of the season.

Jessalyn Smith
Volleyball- Defensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Jessalyn Smith has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Smith, a senior form Boise Idaho, Smith led the Mountaineers to a 2-0 week and the first ever Conference Championship for the Mountaineers.
 
Smith led the Mountaineers in digs in both games last weekend. Smith leads the CCC in digs per set (5.57).

Motade Atanda
Volleyball- Offensive
 
Southern Oregon’s Motade Atanda has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Atanda, a senior from San Jose, Calif., finished as the CCC-only leader in killers per set (4.3). One of her 19 kills Friday broke Concordia's match-point to force a fifth set and an eventual SOU win.

Tess Armstrong
Women’s Basketball
 
Oregon Tech’s Tess Armstrong has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week.
 
Armstrong, a junior from Eureka, Calif., continued her averaged 18.5 points per game over the weekend leading the Lady Owls with a pair of wins over Pacific Union and NAIA D1 William Jessup.
 
She was 14 of 17 from the floor, 3 of 5 from long range and a perfect 6 of 6 from the free throw line. Armstrong has scored in double figures in every game this season for OIT.

Alyssa Harmon
Women’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Alyssa Harmon has been named the Red Lion Women’s Runner of the Week.
 
Harmon, a sophomore from Otis Orchards, Wash., earned the first individual championship for an NCU runner leading the Beacons their first conference title in any sport.
 
She set a personal record finishing with a time of 17:44.
