He was hired as the first-ever coach of the South Korean side on July 17.
“I am really excited to be back in Salem, Oregon where I began my coaching career,” said Rennie. “I have learned a lot since I coached the Cascade Surge and I hope I can encourage people to drive towards their goals.”
Rennie’s presentation will detail what he believes are the Five Cultural Pillars of a successful organization or team, and it will also detail the Five Soccer Specific Pillars of his coaching philosophy.
The Five Cultural Pillars are:
1. Excellence
2. Confidence
3. Drive
4. Being Uncommon
5. Winning
The Five Soccer Pillars are:
1. Speed
2. Penetration
3. Creativity
4. Possession
5. Pressure
Following his presentation, Rennie will open up the forum to a question-and-answer period, in which everyone in attendance can pick the brain of the brilliant North American Soccer mind.
“We are thrilled to have Martin Rennie partner with us to come speak to coaches from around our region,” stated Corban Head Men’s Soccer Coach, Aaron Lewis. “He has one of the most unique coaching backgrounds in North America, and that provides him special insight to pass on.
