LA GRANDE, Ore. – The winter storm on Thursday in the Pacific Northwest has forced some changes to the schedule of the Cascade Conference Volleyball Tournament the conference office announced this morning.

The four remaining teams were to face-off in the semifinals tonight at Eastern Oregon University with # 2 seed Southern Oregon taking on # 3 seed Concordia at 4 p.m. followed by # 1 seed Eastern Oregon vs. # 4 seed The College of Idaho at 7 p.m.

SOU and CU will play their semifinal match today in Portland at Warner Pacific College at 4 p.m. while the EOU and C of I game will still be in La Grande at 7 p.m.

The winners of the semifinal matches will meet in La Grande on Saturday November 15 in the championship game. That game, originally scheduled for 3 p.m., has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. The winner of the tournament receives and automatic bid to the NAIA National Volleyball Championships.

In lieu of charging admission prices, donations at the door are asked for  Corban University volleyball player Esther Suelzle. Suelze was recently diagnosed with rare cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma stage 4. The freshman, from Aumsville, Ore. went to the doctor initially for what was believed a volleyball injury suffered in August.
