UBC's Lillis-White represents NAIA West Grouping

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is proud to reveal the 2015 NAIA Baseball Preseason All-America Team, the national office announced Wednesday. The 17-member squad was selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association (NAIA-BCA) All-America Committee.

Carlos Contreras of Northwood (Fla.) headlines the group of players looking to make a splash with the bat on their respective teams in 2015. Last season while competing at Northwood (Texas), the West Palm Beach, Fla., native hit .453 – tying Dontavis Brown of Morris (S.C.) for the NAIA-lead in batting average a season. Contreras, the senior transfer, had 73 hits in 161 at-bats, with 25 doubles, seven long balls and 59 runs batted in. The 2014 NAIA All-America First Teamer was fourth in the NAIA with a .752 slugging percentage.

Conor Lillis-White of British Columbia looks to make an impact on the mound. Lillis-White led all pitchers last year with an earned run average of 0.46 in 78.2 innings pitched. The senior was a 2014 NAIA Honorable Mention All-America selection and tied for first last year by surrendering four earned runs in 15 games.
