2014 Men's Soccer Championship Seeds Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore. – With the final match of the regular season coming to an end, the field is set for the 2014 Cascade Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Championship presented by U.S. Bank which is slated to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
Concordia University earned the number one seed as the regular season conference champion. The Cavaliers finished the year with an overall record of 13-4 and a conference record of 12-2.
Northwest University had the chance to secure the second seed in the tournament by winning their last match but fell to Warner Pacific 1-0. The Eagles would eventually claim the number two spot after a win by Concordia over The Evergreen State College. Northwest ended the season with a 14-4 record, 10-4 in conference.
Evergreen ended the regular season 9-4-1 in CCC play with an overall record of 9-7-1. After losing on the road to the Cavaliers 2-0, the Geoducks will finish as the third seed.
Corban University earned the final spot in the tournament finishing fourth overall in the standings. The Warriors ended the regular season going 8-5-1 in CCC play, 10-7-1 overall.
The semifinals begin on Nov. 11, with Corban playing at Concordia a 4 p.m. PST and Evergreen playing at Northwest at 1 p.m. PST. The championship match will be played at the home of the highest remaining seed on Saturday, Nov. 15.
