Nineteen CCC Student Athletes Earn Honor

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 413 men’s soccer student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Great Falls (Mont.) and Hastings (Neb.) lead all institutions with nine individuals each on the list. Ashford (Iowa) is next in line with eight players recognized.

The Cascade Conference had nineteen student-athletes recognized with College of Idaho leading the way with 6 follwed by CRB-4,NU-2,NCU-2,WPC-2, CU-1,TESC-1 and OIT-1.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.

Last year, 355 student-athletes were honored.
