How it Happened
• The shots were not falling for WP in the early going, and the hosts trailed 25-11 at halftime.
• Scoring was hard to come by for both teams - OIT made just 10 of 27 from the floor in the first 20 minutes.
• WP turned a switch after the break, outscoring the Owls 36-27.
• Kylie Hendryx and Lindsay Loe each tossed in seven points after halftime for WP.
• OIT's Tess Armstrong kept the visitors in front with 14 second half points and she finished with a game high 16.
• The Owls hounded Knight leading scorer Jordan Wilcox all night, holding her to eight points.
• A free throw from Loe made the score 49-45 late in the game, but the big early deficit was too much to overcome.
Notable
• WP won the rebounding battle, 39-37.
• Rayssa Lira - the shortest player on the court at 5ft 0in - led the Knights and tied for the game high with seven rebounds.
