KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Evergreen State moved out to as much as a 20 point lead midway through the second period and escaped Danny Miles Court with a 67-58 road win in Cascade Conference women’s basketball tonight in Klamath Falls.
 
Oregon Tech raced out to an 18-11 lead only to see the Geoducks respond with an 11-0 run and take a 22-18 lead at the 5:53 mark of the opening period.  The Owls would never recover.
 
Tied at 24-24, Evergreen next closed out the half with a 10-2 spurt to go up 34-26 at the intermission.
 
The Geoducks next open up the second half with six-straight to take a double digit lead and a 42-26 advantage with 17:14 remaining in the contest.  Tech would close to 12 points but Evergreen answered again taking their largest lead of the contest 54-34 after a pair of free throws with 11:40 to play.
 
Tech showed some life over the next 6 minutes, eventually closing to single digits, 58-50 with 5:10 to go and with just under 2 minutes on the clock got to within 5 points, 58-53.  The Geoducks, however, managed to push their lead back to double digits before settling for the 67-59 win.
 
Tess Armstrong would lead Tech with 15 points, while Kassi Conditt managed a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.  Oregon Tech would shoot just 37.3% from the floor on 22-of-59, while going 6-of-17 from long range and 8-for-10 at the charity stripe.
 
Brittany Gray finished up with a double-double effort with 20 points and 15 rebounds.  She added three assists, two blocks and a steal to those game-high totals.  Sadee Jones would add 14 points and five rebounds with Sammi Clark coming away with 11 points in the win.  Evergreen would connect on 43.1% of their tries (27-for-66), including just 1-of-4 from the 3-point line.  Evergreen would control the boards 47-33 with 18 of those coming from the offensive end.
