LA GRANDE, Ore. – Caulin Bakalarski is the newest member of the men's basketball program at Eastern Oregon University set for the 2014-2015 season. Head Coach Jared Barrett announced that the Seattle-area standout made it official by signing his Letter of Intent to play for the Mountaineers.
Bakalarski, a six foot three inch 175 pound shooting guard, racked up numerous high school honors at South Kitsap High School this past season. He was named 1st Team All-Conference and earned a spot on the All-State Team after averaging 18 points, eight rebounds and four steals a game. He will be participating in both the Cloud 9 & Puget Sound All-Star games this spring.
"We are extremely excited about the addition of Caulin to our basketball program" Coach Barrett said when asked about Bakalarski. "He is a very skilled scoring guard that excels at shooting the 3-pt shot. Caulin not only has a knack for scoring, he fills up the stat sheet with rebounds, assists and steals."
Caulin is the second signee for next year's Men's Basketball team. KJ Bosco, a 6'8 forward from Benson Tech High School, signed his Letter of Intent in December.
