With the wins, UBC improved to 12-5 on the season and 5-2 in NAIA West contests. Concordia, meanwhile, fell to 12-8 overall and 3-4 in league games.

Game 2 – British Columbia 2, Concordia1
Scoring a single run in the first inning and again in the top of the ninth, British Columbia defeated Concordia 2-1 in the second game of action at Porter Park.
UBC's Bryan Pawlina went toe-to-toe with CU starter
Harrison McGhee (Ramona, Calif./Ramona H.S.) but yielded the win to teammate Taylor Curtis as the Thunderbirds scored the go-ahead score, an unearned run, in the top of the ninth to complete the sweep.
Pawlina allowed three hits in seven innings of work. The righthander struck out eight batters and walked two before turning the ball over to Curtis, who pitched a clean eighth inning. Matt Thornton earned the save after allowing a leadoff hit, and potential game-tying run, in the ninth.
McGhee recorded all but the final out for the Cavs, striking out 10 and walking five in the hard-luck loss.
The T-Birds went ahead in the ninth as Cam Firth belted a double to plate Sebastian Wong. Evetts singled to open the ninth and was pinch ran for by
Trent Calmer (Beaverton, Ore./Southridge H.S.), but the Cavs stranded the runner as Thorton produced a strikeout and a pop put to close out the one-run contest.
