KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Oregon Tech took an early advantage in the opener only to see third-ranked Lewis-Clark State College move out to a lead and hang on for an 8-5 win, while Warrior pitching held Tech scoreless in the nightcap winning 10-0 and earning the doubleheader sweep.
 
Oregon Tech falls to 9-27 overall and 4-12 in NAIA West action.  LC State improved to 24-5 on the season and 13-3 in NAIA West play.
 
Game 1 – Trailing 3-1, Oregon Tech used a four-run second inning taking a 5-3 lead.
 
Tyson Dahl doubled driving in two runs, while Aaron Bocchi walked in a run with a Warrior miscue aiding in another.
 
In the top of the third, a two out two-run single by Warrior DH Jake Shirley tied it at 5-all, next taking back the lead, 7-5, on a pair of RBI singles.  LC State would move up 8-5 on a run in the fourth inning.
 
Both teams would fail to score over the remainder of the game, as Tech fell by an 8-5 final.
 
For the Owls Tyson Dahl and Ryan Hayden finished with two hits with Dahl driving in a pair of runs.  Aaron Bocchi drove in two runs and Cameron Cole a hit and RBI.  Darian Benenua suffered the loss allowing seven runs in 3.0 innings.  Justin Dibble went the final six innings in relief duty allowing one run and scattering four hits.
 
The Warriors got two hits each from Jake Shirley, Jorge Ortega, Cody Weiss and Kevin Hawk with Shirley and Ryan Sells driving in two runs each and Ortega one.  Ty Jackson picked up the win moving to 2-0 on the season.  Jackson tossed the middle 4.2 innings, allowing four hits and picking up two strikeouts.  David Murillo earned his second save striking out three in 3.0 innings.
 
Game 2 -  LC State struck early in the nightcap scoring a pair in their first at-bat, plating four more in the second inning and a single run in the third to move up 7-0.  The Warriors notched three more in the seventh to lead 10-0.
 
Warrior starter TJ Kaul tossed 5.1 scoreless innings with Beau Kerns finishing it up in relief.
 
For the Owls BJ Wilson took the loss allowing 12 hits and seven runs.  The Owls would notch six hits in the game, no Owls had multi-hits and none for extra bases.
