PORTLAND, Ore.—The Concordia's women's soccer team, coming off its first NAIA National Championship last fall, has been invited to take the field during halftime of the Portland Thorns' home opener against FC Kansas City on Saturday, April 26.

? think Saturday will be ton of fun for the team. I appreciate the Thorns reaching out to us and honoring our achievement this past fall," CU head coach
Grant Landy said. "We will get an opportunity to watch some of the best players in the world Saturday and have a chance to meet some of them after the match, so it will be a great experience for our team."
Concordia, the Cascade Collegiate Conference champions 17 of the last 18 seasons, went 21-1-1 last year and outscored its seven postseason opponents 14-1 en route to the NAIA National Championship.
