College of Idaho Repeats as Women's Track CCC Champion

NAMPA, Idaho – Wins by Nichole DeGrange and Hillary Holt propelled the College of Idaho to their second straight league title, claiming the Cascade Conference Championships, presented by U.S. Bank, at the NNU Track.
The Lady Yotes finished with 211.5 points, cruising to the team title by 46 points over Eastern Oregon, with Concordia topping Southern Oregon for third by a half-point.
DeGrange set a C of I school record for C of I, winning a tight race in the 100-meters in 12.25 seconds – hitting the NAIA “B” qualifying standard.
Holt, the national leader in the 800-meters, earned a four-second victory with a time of 2:12.65.
Amelia Maguin of Southern Oregon broke the meet record in the 400-hurdles, breaking the one minute barrier with a time of 59.63.
Kadie Booth of Eastern Oregon was named Women’s Athlete of the Meet after setting a school record in the 200-meters (24.59), placing second in the 100-meters (12.27), and anchoring the winning 4x400-meter relay (3:54.10) - a day after winning the 400-meters and anchoring the second-place 4x100-meter relay team.
Jessica Mattos of Concordia was named Women’s Field Athlete of the Meet after winning both the discus and hammer throw and placing fifth today in the shot put.
C of I head coach Pat McCurry was honored as CCC Coach of the Year.
