GULF SHORES, Ala. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Saturday that 337 women’s track and field student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Concordia (Neb.) leads all institutions with 20 individuals on the list. Doane (Neb.) is next with 17 student-athletes and Oklahoma Baptist sits third with 15.
In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
