PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific men's golf has bolstered their ranks with the signing of five players to letters of intent for the 2014-15 season.

Head Coach Quincy Heard has announced that Dillon Battles (Gresham, Ore.), Jeremie Eloy (Montpellier, France), Glenn Linder (Eagle Point, Ore.), Reyn Thomas Morioka (Lihue, Hawaii), and Matthew Stenhouse (Portland, Ore.) will participate in golf for the Knights next season.

Dillon Battles is wrapping up his senior season at Barlow High School in Gresham, where he led his team to a berth in the OSAA 6A State Championships this year by placing 3rd overall at the Mt. Hood District Tournament.

After two seasons at Barton Junior College in Great Bend, Kansas, Jeremie Eloy will transfer to Warner Pacific. Originally from Montpellier, France, Eloy has ended his junior college career with a flourish. After finishing 17th at the Jayhawk Conference Championship Tournament last month, he placed 5th at the District III Tournament. He followed that performance by winning the NJCAA Region IV Tournament, which helped the Barton team to qualify for nationals for the first time since 2006. Eloy capped off his Barton career by finishing 14th at the NJCAA National Championships to earn All-American honors.

Glenn Linder played golf at Eagle Point High School and graduated 2013. After placing in the top 10 at his District Tournament, he concluded his senior season by finishing 17th at 2013 OSAA 5A State Championship.

Transferring to WPC from Southwestern Oregon Community College is Reyn Thomas Morioka. Originally from Lihue, Hawaii, Reyn placed 13th at the 2014 NWAACC Championship Tournament held last week which helped the Lakers place in a tie for 2nd overall as a team.

Local standout Matthew Stenhouse will graduate from Portland Christian High School, but he competes for David Douglas High School in golf. The senior placed 8th this season at the Mt. Hood District Tournament, which qualified him for the OSAA 6A State Tournament.

"I feel very good about this group who will be excellent players and students at Warner Pacific," said coach Quincy Heard. "There is positive momentum within our program and these young men will help us in our goal of becoming a top team in our conference."
