KANSAS CITY, Mo. —One of five repeat selections, Concordia Sunny Powers (Medford, Ore./North Medford H.S.) was honored as a First Team NAIA All-American, the national office announced on Wednesday.

Powers, the all-time school record holder with a 78.1 strokes per round career scoring average, is the lone women's golfer to make the First Team for three straight years.

A back-to-back Second Team selection, British Columbia's Stephanie Wong also made three straight All-American teams while Third Team honoree Jamie Palermo of William Woods is the lone four-time All-American, having been a First Team selection in 2011 and 2012 and a Second Team member in 2013.

Finishing with a 14-over 302 for four rounds, Powers closed out her Concordia career with a seventh-place finish at the NAIA National Championships to earn All-Tournament honors at the national championships for the second straight season. A two-time Cascade Collegiate Conference Player of the Year pick, Powers placed 11th at nationals as a junior and now has the two highest national finishes in school history.

As selected by the NAIA-Women's Golf Coaches Association All-America Committee, a total of 45 student-athletes were honored, with 15 individuals being named to each of the three teams.

National champion Oklahoma City led all teams with five individuals earning All-America honors. Elia Folch (First Team), Caroline Goodin (First Team), Anna Mikish (Second Team), Kailey Campbell (Second Team) and Katie-Lee Wilson (Third Team) were the All-Americans for the Stars.

Bellevue (Neb.), British Columbia, Northwood (Fla.) and William Woods (Mo.) each had four golfers achieve All-America status, while national runner-up SCAD Savannah (Ga.) had three individuals recognized. Alazne Urizar, the 2014 NAIA Women's Golf National Championships individual medalist, headlined the trio of Bees who were named All-Americans. Urizar shot an NAIA National Championships-best 291 (76, 71, 73, 71) for the 72-hole tournament en route to the individual title.

Three programs—Northwood (Texas), Oklahoma City and SCAD Savannah—landed multiple players on the first team.

Fifteen individuals are making at least their second All-America appearance.

Marty McCauley was named the 2014 NAIA Women's Golf National Coach of the Year. His Stars defeated SCAD Savannah in a one-hole playoff on Saturday, May 24, to win their second-straight and seventh all-time national championship.
