Holt Sets PR in Post Collegiate Debut
EUGENE, Ore. - Former College of Idaho star Hillary Holt made her post-collegiate track debut tonight, competing in the prestigeous Prefontaine Classic at Hayward Field.
Holt, a 17-time NAIA All-American and 11-time national champion, placed seventh in the first of two star-studded fields of the 800-meters. Her time of 2:06.00 was over a half-second better than her personal best mark in the event. French runner Justine Fedronic won the race with a time of 2:01.50.
Holt currently owns the 27th best mark in the U.S. in the 1,500-meters - currently good enough to qualify for the U.S. National Championships set for next month.
