The following CCC and NAIA West student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period April 28  – May 4
 
Softball Pitcher
 
Concordia’s McKenzie Marshall has been named the Red Lion Softball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Marshall, a senior from Oregon City, Oregon, pitched 16.2 of 19.0 innings last weekend to guide Concordia to its second CCC Tournament title. Her season record improved to 18-5 on the season with the results.

Softball Player
 
Concordia’s Cassidy Horner has been named the Red Lion Softball Player of the Week.
 
Horner, a senior from Cottonwood, California, went 5 for 6 with 4 walks during the CCC Tournnament for a .909 on base percentage...Streted teh weekend with the team's first grand slam of the season to lift the Cavaliers to a 10-1 win over College of Idaho. She followed that performance up with back-to-back 2 for 2 games to lead CU to its second ever CCC title and now holds a .366 batting average on the season.

Baseball Player
 
Lewis-Clark State’s Michael Sexton has been named the Red Lion Baseball Player of the Week.
 
Sexton, a freshman from Puyallup, Washington, hit .470 in four starts against the solid pitching of Western Oregon and the NCAA D-III's top-tanked Linfield. He led the team with five runs batted in.

Baseball Pitcher
 
British Columbia’s Conor Lillis-White has been named the Red Lion Baseball Pitcher of the Week.
 
Lillis-White, a junior from Toronto, Ontario, threw his fourth complete-game shutout of the season on May 2 as the Thunderbirds shutout the Menlo Oaks to open the NAIA West Grouping Championships, presented by US Bank, in Vancouver, B.C. Lillis-White gave up seven hits while striking out seven opposition batters as he improved to 8-0 on the season. He also lowered his NAIA-best earned run average to 0.50. UBC won the NAIA West Grouping championship and will participate in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, taking place May 12-15.

Women’s Field
 
Southern Oregon’s Holly Haga has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Haga, a junior from Central Point, Oregon, posted another NAIA 'A' standard qualifying mark in the discus at Pacific, besting a field of 27 with a throw of 143-06. She did it on her first throw of the day.

Women’s Track
 
Eastern Oregon’s Irene Olivo has been named the Red Lion Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Olivo, a senior from Parma, Idaho, hit the NAIA “A” standard in the 400 meter hurdles at the Pacific Twilight. She ran a time of 1:03.45 to win the event. Olivo followed that up with a third place finish in the 100 meter hurdles were she ran a time of 15.76.

Men’s Field
 
Eastern Oregon’s Brian Wickham has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Wickham, a junior from Jerome, Idaho, hit the NAIA “A” standard in the discus and hammer throw at the Pacific Twilight. On his second throw of the day in the discus, Wickham recorded a toss of 48.07 meters (157-08) which placed him second in the event. This is his longest discus throw of the season. He followed the discus up with a first place finish in the hammer throw as he recorded a throw of 55.66 meters (182-07).

Men’s Track
 
Southern Oregon’s Kevin Jorgensen has been named the Red Lion Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
 
Jorgensen, a junior from Yreka, California,improved his NAIA automatic qualifying time by four seconds in a third place finish int he 1500m run at the Oregon State High Performance meet. He took over the No. 6 spot on the NAIA performance list. The next day in Pacific's 800m, he placed second of 61 with a 'B' time, though he already has an 'A' in the event.
