COI 's Johnston Earns Rawlings- NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Nod
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2014 Rawlings-NAIA Baseball Gold Glove Team, as selected by the NAIA-Baseball Coaches Association All-America Selection Committee. For the eighth year, a total of nine players were chosen based upon their defensive success.
Webber International’s (Fla.) Chris Suto is the third-straight Warrior to receive Gold Glove honors. The senior outfielder recorded 132 putouts and three assists in 55 games this season.
Ian Josh of Sterling (Kan.), Tyler Akins of Belhaven (Miss.), Zach Close of AIB (Iowa) and Danny Carroll of Culver-Stockton (Mo.) are receiving their respective program’s first-ever Gold Glove honoree.
