WPC Adds McKaela Laverty to Training Staff
PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific Athletics is pleased to announce the addition of
McKaela Laverty to the athletic training staff for the 2014-15 school year.
Laverty will provide support in the athletic training office under long-time head trainer,
Amy Engilis. The need for additional help in this area was necessitated by the addition of men's and women's wrestling for the 2014-15 year, and increased roster sizes in other sports.
"We are so glad to have McKaela on board to enhance our services to our student-athletes," said
Jamie Joss, Director of Athletics. "She has already made an impact with our teams during preseason training. Her spirit of service is evident in the way she provides care for our athletes. We will have close to 200 athletes across all of our sports participating this year, so she will be put to work right away!"
She worked previously at Ridgeview High School through Desert Orthopedics in Redmond, Oregon.
McKaela received her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Western Oregon University and Master's in Athletic Training from California Baptist University.
