Red Lion Players of the Week Announced
LA GRANDE, Ore.-
The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period August 18-24.
Aaron Chesnut
Men’s Soccer- Defensive
Northwest Christian’s Aaron Chesnut, a junior, from Gearhart, Ore., has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Chesnut led a defensive effort that held Multnomah University without a single shot attempt in the season opener for both schools. It was the first perfect shutout in NCU history.

Arsinio Walker
Men’s Soccer-Offensive
Corban’s Arsinio Walker, a senior, from Kingston, Jamaica, has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Walker led the Corban men's soccer team to an undefeated road trip to start the season, scoring the game-winning goal in games against Simpson and Menlo
Against Simpson, he scored just after the first minute of play. In the win over Menlo, Walker got Corban on the board in the fourth minute of play, as well as later in the contest taking his total to three goals in two games.

Emma Gasman
Volleyball- Defensive
Southern Oregon’s Emma Gasman, a sophomore from Clovis, Calif., has been named the Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week.
Gasman had 28 blocks this past week helping SOU go 3-1. Against Westmont Gasman had 10 blocks and 12 blocks against No. 22 ranked Vanguard.
The blocks against Vanguard were earned in only three games and are a career high for Gasman.

Casey Loper
Volleyball- Offensive
Casey Loper a senior from Powell Butte, Ore., has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
Loper led the Mountaineer’s to a 5-0 record in the Sport Travel Northwest Challenge with 88 total kills.
Against Lewis-Clark State and Montana Western Loper had 44 kills including 22 kills and 8 block assists against Montana Western.

Caylin Jackson
Women’s Soccer- Offensive
Southern Oregon’s Caylin Jackson, a sophomore from Claremont, Calif., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
Jackson matched her goal and assist totals with one apiece in SOU's opener Saturday against Marymount. Her goal gave the Raiders a lead for good in the 34th minute.
Honorable mention: Acacia Johnson, Northwest, Tarryn Miyamura, Oregon Tech
Becca Long
Women’s Soccer- Defensive
Concordia’s Becca Long, a senior from Meridian, Idaho, has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
Long helped CU post a 1-0 shutout in the season opener against Marymount and scored her first career goal by placing in a penalty kick to even the game against No. 18 The Masters College.
The two wins extended CU’s winning streak to 20 matches dating back to the 2013 season.
Honorable mention: Kaeliana Devera, Eastern Oregon
