KIRKLAND, Wash. - Northwest University scored four second half goals to shutout visiting Walla Walla University, 5-0, for the second straight day and the non-conference victory.

NU head coach Gary McIntosh went with a different starting line-up and the starters gave the Eagles a 1-0 halftime lead. Freshman Branson Corwin scored at the 28:21 mark after taking freshman Tyler Ptacek's cross and headed it from 6 yards out for the score.

A new 11 took over the second half and senior Taylor Young scored his 4th goal of the season in the 64th minute as he beat a defender at the 18 yard mark and put a shot inside the lower left post. Young then assisted on the following goal by freshman Chris Iacolucci who placed his shot in the left corner from 7 yards out from the right side.

In the 83rd minute, it would be Odason Pelogi took Taylor Young's through ball and scored from 12 yards out in the middle. Aaron Becerril put the capper on the game as he one touched a centering pass from Hunter Madich and placed his low shot in the left side of the net from 12 yards out.

Northwest (4-0-0) took 40 shots and 16 corners while the Eagle defense limited the Wolves to 1 shot and 1 corner for the afternoon. 22 Eagles played in the game.

"I thought Walla Walla came out today very organized and disciplined," commented Gary McIntosh, Eagle head coach "It took us some time to break them down and score. I am pleased with effort of my team and to keep the tempo where it needed to be and we are seeing quality goals scored again from the right places. It's now time to turn our focus to conference play which begins next week at OIT."
