OLYMPIA, Wash. – Carroll's Caitlin Walker scored a pair of first half goals to help lead the Carroll Saints to a 2-1 win over the Evergreen Geoducks in a non-conference women's soccer match on Sunday at Geoduck Pitch in Olympia, Wash.

The Saints (6-1-1) opened up the scoring in the ninth minute as Kayla Baker sent a beautiful cross from the left and Walker one-touched a shot past Evergreen keeper Kayla Baskett.  Walker made it 2-0 for the Saints in the 15th minute after gathering a save by Baskett following a shot from Michaela Kueffler and finishing on an open net from point blank.

The Geoducks (1-5-0) cut the deficit in half in the 61st minute following a handball in the box by a Saints defender.  Delaney Smith took the penalty kick and easily booted the ball past Carroll keeper Jamie Carter.

Carter finished with five saves for the Saints, who outshot Evergreen 16-8 on the afternoon.  Baskett and Kyla Kitts combined for five saves, including a clean second half for Kitts.

The Geoducks return to action on Friday afternoon as they close out the non-conference portion of the schedule against Trinity Lutheran.  First kick with the Eagles is set for 1 p.m. on Geoduck Pitch in Olympia.
