The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week for their performances during the period September 15-21.
 
Women’s Soccer- Defensive
 
Northwest Christian’s Kristin Fulbright, a junior from Eugene, Ore., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Fulbright earned three shutouts as the Beacons went 3-1 this week. Earned a pair of shutout road wins against Mills College and made five saves to pick up the win against Warner Pacific in a home non-conference match. Fulbright has four shutouts this season and now owns a school-record 11 shutouts in her career.

Women’s Soccer- Offensive
 
Northwest Christian’s Janelle Richards, a junior from Vacaville, Calif., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Richards scored five goals on the week, including a hat-trick as the Beacons went 3-1. Richards scored twice in a 7-0 road win over Mills College and scored three in a second meeting with Mills two days later.
 
Honorable mention: Amy Bromley, Evergreen
 
Men’s Soccer-Defensive
 
Evergreen’s Angel Guerra, a junior from Wenatchee, Wash., has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Guerra made six saves to help the Geoducks to a 3-2 win on Tuesday in Caldwell, Idaho against College of Idaho before playing error-free on Saturday in a 2-0 shutout of Northwest with five saves against the Eagles.
 
Honorable mention: Cody Guthrie, Concordia
 
Men’s Soccer-Offensive
 
Concordia’s Timur Zhividze, a sophomore from Bobrov, Russia, has been named the Red Lion Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Zhividze has played a part in five of the team’s seven goals this season. Last week, Zhividze scored the opening goal in a 2-1 win over defending CCC champion Corban University en route to a 2-1 road win and came back to assist the game-winning score on the road against Warner Pacific on Saturday.
 
Honorable mention: Willie Spurr, Evergreen
 
Volleyball- Offensive
 
Concordia’s Jenessa Taylor, a sophomore from Beaverton, Ore., has been named the Red Lion Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Taylor tallied 76 assists last weekend to help Concordia earn its sixth and seventh straight win, including a 3-1 victory against No. 15-Southern Oregon University on Saturday. In addition to directing the offense, Taylor came up with several key kills in both matches, including seven terminations against SOU. Taylor is ranked No. 26 in the NAIA with 9.90 assists per set.
 
Honorable mention: Sierra Porter, College of Idaho
 
Volleyball- Defensive
 
Eastern Oregon’s Emily Nay, a freshman from Nampa, Idaho, has been named the Red Lion Defensive Player of the Week.
 
Nay was a key piece to the Mountaineers perfect week. On Friday night, Nay led the Mountaineers defense with 12 blocks on the game. EOU recorded 14 blocks against Corban. She also recorded 12 kills. On Saturday, Nay recorded three blocks and seven kills. The Mountaineers have won nine straight contests.
 
Honorable mention: Shantel Gritsch, Concordia
 
Men’s Cross Country
 
Concordia’s Matthew Clowes, a senior from Stoke-on-Trent, England, has been named the Red Lion Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Clowes, a 9x All-American in track & field, dominated the field at the CCC Preview last week by winning the race by more than a full minute. Competing against three top-25 ranked teams, including No. 2-Southern Oregon, Clowes turned in a time of 24:07 for the 8,000-meter course.
 
Honorable mention: Ahmed Ibrahim, Warner Pacific
 
Women’s Cross Country
 
Northwest Christian’s Shea Vallaire, a sophomore from Lake Oswego, Ore., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
 
Vallaire won the individual title at the CCC Preview Meet at Fern Hill Park in Portland. Vallaire led the No. 6 ranked Beacons to the team championship as they placed all five scorers in the top-ten and knocked off second-place Oregon Tech by 55 points.
 
Honorable mention: Mary Matchett, Oregon Tech
