Warriors Fight Past Geoducks, 3-0
OLYMPIA, Wash. – On a wet pitch, the Corban Warriors slipped past the Evergreen Geoducks, 3-0, in a Cascade Conference men's soccer match on Tuesday evening at Geoduck Pitch in Olympia, Wash.
The Warriors scored their first of the day in the 10th minute as a free kick by Eliseo Santana skirted along the ground, through the crowd and past Evergreen keeper
Angel Guerra for the 1-0 Corban lead.
Corban made it 2-0 in the 53rd minute as Quamie Dinnall sent in a cross to the waiting foot of Arsinio Walker, who made quick work pushing the ball inside the left post for the score. The final goal came in the 68th minute as Kemar Prince gathered the ball out of a scrum following a free kick by Santana and scored for the 3-0 win.
Despite the wet conditions, both keepers had solid matches. Guerra finished with five saves on the day as did Corban keeper Steven Mason.
The Geoducks will be back in action on Saturday when they travel to Portland to take on Warner Pacific, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Delta Park.
